I want to start selling my art but don't know where to begin. What should I do first?
Don’t worry about websites, logos, business cards, or any of that yet. First, get your actual product in hand - order prints in 3-4 media types (fine art paper, canvas, metal, and acrylic are good starting points). You can spend $100-150 on small samples. Then take that physical product and try to sell it - either in person where there’s foot traffic, or online through a flash sale or live video. You need to validate that people will actually buy your work before investing in anything else. The transaction is what matters. If you can get sales, you have a business. If you can’t, you need to adjust your work, style, or approach.
