Is there too much art already online for new artists to succeed?
The world does not need more art—there’s actually a massive oversupply of images on social media and websites. There’s no supply problem of art whatsoever. What there IS a shortage of is artists who are marketing directly, creating genuine connections with people, and giving audiences a chance to truly connect with them as creators. You cannot connect with someone by just seeing their finished bird photos or landscapes. But you can connect when they bring you into their process, share their story, and let you understand who they are and what drives their work. The differentiator isn’t adding more images to the pile—it’s being one of the few artists who actually builds relationships and tells their story. That’s where the opportunity lies, and that’s what successful artists are doing differently.
