Should I spend a lot of time analyzing my website analytics when I'm just starting out?
No, not if you don’t have statistically significant data. If you’re getting 100-200 visits per month to your website, you don’t have enough data to draw meaningful conclusions. Artists often look at small amounts of data and conclude things like ‘people aren’t checking out because I don’t have X feature’ or change directions based on one person’s feedback. This is a distraction from real problems. Focus on higher-level fundamentals first: Is your product marketable enough? Are you building the right audience? Are you doing consistent marketing? These matter far more than micro-optimizing based on insufficient data. Analytics obsession is another shiny object when you should be focused on foundational business growth.
