Can I include clients from my day job or other professional relationships in my art marketing audiences?
Yes, and this can be very effective. People who know, like, and trust you in other capacities—wedding clients, parents from your teaching job, professional contacts—represent attention you’ve earned. These people may have wall space to fill and might not know you create art for sale. You can create an audience of these contacts (a ‘fan list’) and show them ads about your art. People prefer doing business with those they already know and trust. If this audience works, you can even create a lookalike from it to find similar people.
