What is a warm opportunity and how should I handle it?
A warm opportunity is when someone gives you an indication they might be interested in purchasing, such as replying to your emails, direct messaging you on social media, or saying something like ‘I’m thinking about getting this piece’ or ‘I’d love to have one of your prints.’ Your job is to nurture that warm opportunity to a close, because if you don’t act on it, the opportunity will cool off and you’ll lose the sale. You need to respond promptly, stay engaged, and guide them through the buying process. Some successful approaches include getting warm leads onto video calls or phone calls. The key is recognizing these signals and taking immediate action - if you don’t, the person will buy something else from someone who meets their needs. Tracking these opportunities in a system ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
