Why do major retailers change their store displays and end caps for every holiday?

Major retailers like Target and Walmart change all their theming and end cap displays from one holiday to the next (Easter to Mother’s Day to Father’s Day to Fourth of July, etc.) because they know this is how you move more merchandise. They don’t care which holiday it is—it’s binary to them. They know more people will come into their stores ready to spend money during holiday periods because that’s how society is organized. These retailers have been doing this for decades across all product categories. As art sellers, we need to follow this same proven approach and theme our marketing around these holidays.
