How can I figure out my art niche when I'm just starting out?

Don’t expect to figure out your niche right out of the gates—almost no one does. In the beginning, you’re supposed to experiment and try different things, shooting in the dark really. One artist started with abstract music pieces but found they weren’t challenging enough, then discovered wine art through browsing a magazine and realized it had all the elements that excited them as an artist. Your niche often reveals itself through exploration and paying attention to what genuinely challenges and excites you creatively. The process takes time, and that’s completely normal.
