How do I know if it's appropriate to ask an existing customer for another sale?
Use this framework: First, wait until the customer has received their order and had time to experience it. Then send a follow-up email asking if everything arrived on time, in good condition, and if they’re happy with it. Based on their response, you’ll get one of three scenarios. If the response is negative (shipping issues, damage, dissatisfaction), focus on customer service and fixing the problem - don’t ask for a sale. If it’s neutral (it was okay but they had some concerns), get their feedback, fix what you can, and use your judgment on whether to ask for a sale. If the response is positive (they love it), that’s the perfect time to ask for another sale.
