Is it normal to struggle the first time running a marketing campaign?

Absolutely. There is no shortcut to learning effective marketing - the only way is through experience and stubbing your toes. Every single person who is good at it now got there by doing it, struggling through it, and learning from experience. The great news is it literally gets easier every time. The first time might feel like quantum physics or reading Chinese, but the next time you’ll know where things are, and you’ll add a bit more complexity. Six campaigns down the line, you’ll have it mastered. There are multiple opportunities throughout the year to practice - every holiday and sale is a chance to get better. This skill is foundational to your business for the next 20 years and beyond, so the investment in learning it will pay dividends for your entire career.
