My opening clip in a reel feels too long and slow. How can I make it more dynamic?

If a clip drags, grab it in your editor, split it into multiple frames, and delete two or three of those frames. This creates a jump-cut effect—for example, you’re walking and suddenly two steps closer. It makes the video feel faster and more dynamic, reducing the wait time before the payoff. You can also add a voiceover or text at the beginning hinting at what’s coming (e.g., ‘Shot revealed at the end’) so viewers know to stay and watch.
