How should I structure my pricing to appeal to different buyer levels?
Have price points at every level. Start with low-cost items like stickers at five or six dollars to get your art into people’s hands. Move up to prints in the fifteen to sixty dollar range, where you start building real connection with buyers who are sharing your story. Then offer originals at a few hundred dollars, scaling up to statement pieces in the thousands. The key insight: say ‘I hold value—this is my heart and soul poured into this, and I am determined to find the person that connects with that.’ Get comfortable putting higher price tags on your best work. Always have something well above everything else’s price point—what’s the worst that happens, you make a massive sale? A high number for you is not a high number for the person who’s going to buy it. For them, it could be like change that falls out of their pocket.
