How consistently do I need to market my art business?
You need to keep the doors open consistently, just like you would with a physical gallery. If you owned a retail art gallery, you’d open it 4-6 days a week regardless of whether you felt like it or not. You would never lock the door and put up a sign saying ‘artist burnt out, closed for summer.’ But that’s exactly what most artists do with their online marketing—they disappear for weeks, months, or even a year, then come back briefly before vanishing again. Running an online art business is no different than running a physical gallery. You must maintain consistent visibility and marketing, even when you’re tired or don’t feel like it. Consistency is what builds and maintains a business.
