What qualifications should I look for in someone giving art business advice?

Look for people with long entrepreneurial backgrounds, successful companies under their belt, significant experience in digital marketing (including substantial ad spend), and most importantly, direct access to real performance data from working artists. The best advisors have pattern recognition from hundreds or thousands of conversations with artists and photographers, plus visibility into what’s actually working across a large number of active art businesses. Theory and credentials matter less than demonstrated results and current, relevant experience.
