What is Q4 and why does it matter for art sales?

Q4 is the fourth quarter—the last three months of the year (October, November, December). In the Western world, this is when more art and photography usually sell than in all the other three quarters combined, largely due to holiday shopping and major sales events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Every artist should take this seriously. The approach is straightforward: have your work on a website, maintain social media presence, let people know you exist, and when Q4 approaches, let people know about promotions you’re running. This is a critical time to focus on sales and one of the best opportunities of the year.
