How can augmented reality help artists who sell high-end, expensive originals or limited editions?

For high-ticket purchases, buyers want absolute confidence before investing significant money. AR gives them a ‘try before you buy’ experience where they can see exactly how a large, expensive piece will look on their wall at full scale, in their actual lighting and décor. This removes the biggest barrier to purchasing expensive art sight-unseen. When someone is making a major investment, they really need to love how it looks in their space, and AR provides that certainty without requiring the artist to physically deliver pieces for approval, which doesn’t scale.
