What's the value of having a wide price range in my product offerings?
A wide price range—from under $100 up to thousands or tens of thousands—solves multiple problems. It gives people a basis of comparison so they understand why premium pieces cost what they do. Without comparison points, buyers can’t rationalize pricing and may lowball you or walk away confused. The range also accommodates different buyer budgets—someone who loves your $5,000 original but can’t afford it can step down to a $2,500 limited edition or $800 print and still become a customer. It opens you up to impulse purchases at low price points. Most importantly, it allows you to acquire customers at any price level, and acquiring customers is the most important metric for long-term business health.
