Should I worry about making everyone happy with my art?

No artist should try to make everyone happy. You’re never going to please everyone, and that’s completely fine. When you create authentic work, some people will deeply connect with it while others won’t understand it at all - and both responses are valid. Even negative reactions show that your work evoked an emotional response, which means it’s connecting on some level. The key is creating work that’s true to your own experiences and vision. The people who are meant to connect with your work will find it and resonate deeply with it. Those who don’t get it simply aren’t your audience, and that’s okay.
