Should I focus on selling original paintings or prints when starting out?
When you’re starting out, selling prints can be easier because they’re more accessible at lower price points (like $20-30), which means you’re focused on finding more customers rather than making fewer high-value sales. Prints also allow you to automate fulfillment. However, the more prints you sell, the more value you build for your originals over time. So while you can start with prints to build momentum and cash flow, you should eventually introduce originals at higher price points to create a full product range.
