What should I do if my art isn't selling in my current style or niche?

Consider pivoting to a different niche or style that the market actually wants. Many successful artists were about to quit because their original work wasn’t getting traction—not because they were bad artists, but because the market didn’t want that particular niche or medium. After pivoting to something the market responded to, their businesses took off. Interestingly, once you build a strong brand and connection with your audience through direct-to-consumer marketing, you can often circle back to your original passion work. When collectors know and trust you, they’ll buy other styles and niches from you. The key is finding what works first, not being overly emotional about it, and building from there. This magical situation only happens when you’re doing great marketing and building real connections with collectors.
