How do I protect my high-resolution images when selling online?

Your high-resolution images should be stored in cold storage (offline, not connected to the internet) and never exposed on the web. When you upload images, the system checks that they have sufficient quality for various print sizes and tells you what sizes are possible. Then the high-resolution files are stored securely offline, and drastically downsampled versions are used on your website—they look beautiful online but aren’t large enough to reproduce. When a customer places an order, the high-resolution image is sent one-off directly to the printer so they can produce a perfect print, but it’s never made publicly available. This protects your work while still enabling quality reproduction.
