What if I'm nervous about going live or have tech issues?
Being nervous and having tech issues are completely normal—everyone experiences them. The only way to get past nerves and learn to handle tech problems is through practice and repetition. You need to get comfortable being uncomfortable. Learn how to deal with tech issues without letting them fluster you or ruin the show. Understand that you likely don’t have a career in broadcast TV, and that’s okay—none of us do. Learning things like timing, transitions, how to prevent dead air, how to think on your feet and roll with the punches all takes practice. This is exactly why you need to do thousands of these, not just one perfect show. Each live makes you better. Your first ones will be rough, but you’ll improve quickly if you keep shipping.
