What mental frameworks should I use to figure out what to pivot to?

There are several mental frameworks to consider when contemplating pivots. First, start with demand and work backwards instead of taking a product to market. Second, think about what type of arbitrage or unique advantage you have—are you geographically located somewhere that only you are? Do you have access to things that only you have? Third, consider other creative areas you’ve always loved or been inspired by that you’ve never given a shot. Fourth, think about whether you have unique access, connections, or knowledge in certain areas. When you boil the emotion out of it, pivoting is literally just a formula, a mental model, a premise. These frameworks help you systematically think through opportunities rather than relying purely on creative inspiration.
