Should I try to become an expert or influencer on topics like coffee-making to create content?

No—don’t go down tangents that take focus away from your art. You’re not creating content to become an influencer on random subjects or an expert on coffee. You’re creating content to be present where billions of eyes are, to catch attention and ultimately sell your art. If creating coffee content means you’ll buy espresso machines, learn grinding techniques, and go deep into a whole new subject, you’ve lost focus. Just show simple, authentic snippets of your real life—pour coffee in a cup, add ice to a glass, vacuum your car, clean your house. Whatever is easy for you to perform without taking mental energy away from your art. If it doesn’t result in engagement toward your website and art sales, it’s not accomplishing the purpose.
