You can get a website from many vendors — some free, some cheap, some expensive — but none of them solve for what you do once the site is up. Your website is just the ticket to the game. Once your art is uploaded, if you don’t do anything after that, nothing happens. No one sees it, there are no orders, no sales — it’s just a pretty portfolio on the web that nobody has seen. You need to know: Do I send an email? Do I run a sale? Do I announce my store is open? How do I attract eyeballs? The real game starts after the site is live, and you need ongoing support, education, and community to answer these questions and keep moving forward.
