Should I keep creating work I love even if it's hard to sell, or focus only on what sells?
Keep your creative outlet—the work you love—but also be smart about the business side. Try to market your passion projects and find an audience for them, but don’t ignore what the market is telling you. It’s much easier to use your talents to meet the market somewhere in the middle. Listen to what collectors respond to, then apply your skills to create work that bridges your artistic vision with market demand. You can maintain both: the work that feeds your soul and the work that builds your business.
