Is running discounts or sales bad for my art business?

No. Refusing to ever run a discount is one of the mental blocks (‘clogging’) that holds artists back. Discounts and sales—especially around key times like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the holidays—are proven to drive significant revenue. The most successful artists, selling hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, run strategic promotions. If you refuse to do what’s working for others, you’re limiting your own growth. There’s a smart way to do it—don’t devalue your work, but do give buyers a reason to act now.
