Should I create separate websites for my portrait photography business and my fine art photography?

No! Put everything under one roof. People buy from people they know, like, and trust. If you’ve built intimate relationships with portrait clients over the years — they trust you, they love your work — simply let them know you have other work for sale. It’s much easier to market one website than to watch two (like watching two children versus one). On your homepage, you can have a simple split: portraits on the left, fine art on the right, then a strong about section where people learn about you. Your existing portrait clients are warm leads who already trust you; they’ll buy your art if they know it exists. Don’t separate your audiences — leverage the trust you’ve already built.
