My artist spouse doesn't want to show her face on camera. What should I do?

Get her to come to a coaching session so we can have a conversation about it. Almost every artist hates being on camera—it’s completely normal and not second nature for anyone. But showing your face is the only way to truly connect with people online. In a world saturated with AI-generated art, authenticity has to come across fast. When someone finds your account, they need to know immediately that there’s a real human artist behind the work—not artificial intelligence, not a faceless entity. People don’t buy art; they buy the artist. The face needs to be there. If we sat down for coffee and you only talked about selling art without sharing anything personal, I’d disconnect. Art selling is all about connection, and the faster someone can get to know the real artist, the better the results and engagement.
