How do I know which of my photographs will sell best?
You don’t know, and you can’t know ahead of time—and that’s completely normal. It’s shots on goal. You need to put your work out there and see what resonates. Often the images you think will be huge get crickets, while something you never expected becomes your best seller. Don’t let the need to identify your ‘best work’ or find your ‘niche’ prevent you from getting started. Your own cognitive bias doesn’t give you the full picture. Put the work out there, don’t be emotional about it, and see what sticks. The wisdom of the crowd will always be greater than your individual assessment. Let the market tell you what works rather than trying to predict it perfectly beforehand.
