I've been marketing my art for a few years but have only sold one or two pieces. What should I do?

If you’ve genuinely put in marketing work and gotten your name out there, but still aren’t seeing sales, the market is telling you something important. The market doesn’t lie—it gives you honest feedback. This might mean your work isn’t resonating with people, you’ve picked the wrong niche, or your art style needs improvement. This isn’t about being a bad artist; it’s about your product-market fit. Consider pivoting—changing your subject matter, style, or approach. Many successful artists have made similar pivots that completely changed their trajectory. Don’t take it personally; think of it as valuable market feedback that’s helping you find the right direction.
