Why doesn't posting only finished artwork on social media work?
Posting only finished work with no artist, no caption with substance, no story, and no human presence turns your feed into a closed gallery with the lights off—no staff, no opening, no reason to stop scrolling or come back. Algorithms don’t reward this because it’s not a conversation, it’s a one-way broadcast. Real galleries succeed because of the full experience: the artist, the environment, the interactions. On social media, the work gets attention, but everything else (you, your process, your personality, your story) is what builds connection and makes people want to return and eventually buy. People buy from people, not logos or silent catalogs.
