How do I get my first art sales when I'm just starting out?
Don’t wait for the world to come to you. Figure out what you do really well and what you love to do, then create a finished product as if the world had asked you to do it. Take that completed work out into the world and show it to people who might use it. You have to produce something tangible—you can’t just say you’re a great artist or mention your degree. Do the work first, then present it. Make your own world instead of waiting for opportunities to find you.
