Why might my art not sell even if I've been marketing for months?

Art selling is not a transactional process like some other products. People aren’t sitting with open wall space actively looking for art right now. The sales cycle can be long — someone might sign up for your email list in month one but not purchase an original piece until month nine or later. This is normal. The key is consistent marketing to stay top of mind so that when the right moment comes (Black Friday, holiday gift-giving, when they have open wall space), you’re the first artist they think of because they’ve been seeing your images regularly. You can’t know if your art is sellable unless you’ve actively promoted it for nine months to a year.
