How do I decide what my long-term goals should be for my art business?
In the beginning, your goal might simply be ‘see if this works’ or ‘make a modest living.’ That’s fine to start. But once you’ve proven the concept and know people will buy your work, it’s time to think bigger. Sit down and honestly ask yourself: what do I want this business to do for me? Where do I want to go? Don’t stay tethered to your original small goals once you’ve achieved them. Working with business coaches or mentors can help you think through these bigger visions. Set ambitious goals that excite you, whether that’s owning a gallery space, doing large-scale projects, or building multiple revenue streams.
