Use the ‘Comment Conversational Hack.’ Instead of just responding to contest entries with an emoji or thumbs up, respond with open-ended questions that start real conversations. For example, if someone comments that they love a particular subject in your art, ask them what specifically they love about it, or what their favorite piece is, or where they’re from. Keep the conversation going back and forth multiple times. This can turn a single comment into 4, 5, 6, or even 10 comments on your post. More comments signal to Facebook that your post is high-value content, which dramatically increases your free organic reach—meaning more people see your contest, more entries, more followers, and ultimately more sales.
