What is a tracking pixel and why do I need one installed on my website?

A tracking pixel is a piece of code you install on your website that allows advertising platforms to track visitor behavior. It’s absolutely critical because it enables you to move people from cold traffic to warm traffic automatically. When someone visits your website for the first time (cold traffic), the pixel tracks that visit, allowing you to show them ads in the future (warm traffic). Without the pixel installed, you lose the ability to retarget visitors and build these audience segments. Even if you’re not ready to advertise yet, install the pixel now so your audiences can start building.
