How do I find communities and accounts that would be interested in my art?

No matter what you create, there’s a community out there that would resonate with your work. Start with Instagram as a search engine—search hashtags, reels, and specific accounts, see who’s commenting, and go down rabbit holes. You’ll find hashtags, communities, influencers, and see follower counts. Look at trending accounts. Then take those keywords and search them on other platforms. Look for YouTube channels, Facebook groups, subreddits, Twitter accounts, podcasts, and email newsletters. You can attack broadly (if you paint plants, look for general plant communities) or narrowly (target specific niches like Japanese maple enthusiasts). Get creative—there are communities around every aspect of every topic imaginable.
