Will creating reels generate new followers for my art business?

Reels typically won’t generate followers unless one goes viral (50,000+ views). You might get two or three new followers from a really good reel if someone deeply connects with your story, but don’t think of reels as follower generators. They’re attention grabbers—you’re fighting for attention in social media, and reels are the easiest way to get it. To intentionally grow followers, you need to actively follow accounts yourself and engage with your target audience. Reels are for engagement and building relationships with existing followers, not primarily for growth. Once a reel does go viral with 50,000+ views, then yes, many followers will come from that, but it’s the exception rather than the rule.
