How can I replicate the in-person sales experience on my website?
Think about what happens when you walk into a physical store like an Apple Store when it’s not crowded. A salesperson approaches you, answers your questions, helps you find the right product, and often upsells you on accessories. Your website should replicate that digitally. For example, use tools that track which pieces a visitor looked at, then follow up with them via email to start a conversation—just like a salesperson would approach you in a gallery. Your site design should mimic an art gallery: mostly minimal, white space, all about the art and its colors. Every feature and interaction should be designed around the question: ‘How would this work in the real world, face-to-face?’ and then translate that into a digital experience.
