How do website categories work, and how do they create URLs for my art?

Categories organize your work into browsable groups on your website—like ‘Beaches,’ ‘Landscapes,’ or ‘Waterfalls.’ Each category gets its own URL: yourwebsite.com/beaches would show all work in that category. Tags are different—they’re for search/organization but don’t create URLs. One piece can belong to multiple categories. Early on, focus on getting your website built and organized logically. Don’t overthink the URLs yet—what matters more is you intentionally promoting specific links (via social media, email, etc.) rather than assuming people will manually type category names into a search bar.
