Why should I consider doing a basement sale instead of keeping my old work in storage?

Work sitting in storage gathering dust is doing nothing for your business—it’s not helping you get attention and it’s not generating revenue. A basement sale serves multiple important purposes: it clears out inventory your spouse has been asking you to deal with, it offers price point diversity you might not otherwise have, it gives you a creative way to market your art, it forces you to get comfortable on camera and talking about your work, and it validates whether your art resonates with buyers. Most importantly, your work needs to go out into the world to have any impact. As Picasso said, ‘Your drawings must go out into the world.’
