Why is Q4 important for art sales?

Q4 refers to the last three months of the year, which is the art-buying season in the Western world. More art and photography is sold in the last three months of the year than just about any other time. This is when all the brands run sales and advertising—it’s like blood in the water that creates a buying frenzy. People feel permission to spend money during this period. It’s a critical time to let people know you exist, that you have art for sale, to get posts out there, prepare your emails, and ensure you have a way to actually sell your art. This period from now through the end of the year is when you should be consistently preparing and marketing.
