Why is the follow-up email to people who didn't win my contest so effective?
The people who entered your contest represent warm to hot traffic. On the warm end, they visited your booth, saw you or your art, and showed enough interest to enter. On the hot end, they might have been ready to buy but got distracted—maybe they saw a friend, got busy, or their credit card was almost out of their wallet. They didn’t want to interrupt you while you were talking to someone else, so they just entered and left. Everyone who entered is waiting for an email to see if they won, so your open rates will be excellent. This gives you a fantastic opportunity to start or continue a relationship and potentially make a sale with people who’ve already expressed genuine interest in your work.
