When should I call it quits on a particular series or niche?
If you’ve genuinely attempted to validate—through in-person sales, flash sales, multiple attempts—and consistently get no traction, it’s time to move on. Don’t spend years on something that won’t sell. The market is brutally honest; if people aren’t buying, you have a product-market fit problem. Set yourself short validation cycles (for example, two weeks to create, two weeks to sell) so you can quickly learn what works and what doesn’t. Be stoic and unemotional about it—failed validation isn’t personal, it’s just information that helps you redirect your efforts to something that will work.
