What price ranges should every artist have in their product lineup?

Every artist needs pricing from $0-100, including non-wall-art items like phone cases, coasters, greeting cards, or calendars. Then you need items in the $100-1,000 range, and finally items $1,000+. The secret to success isn’t how you price your art—it’s having a range of pricing. Not everyone is ready to buy wall art at all times, but they might want to support your creativity with a smaller purchase. The strength of an art business is the number of new customers you acquire per year, regardless of the purchase amount. Art is a collector-driven business—some customers who start small will return and buy bigger pieces repeatedly. If you only offer high-priced originals and someone can’t commit to that, you’ve lost them forever. A $30 phone case sale today could lead to a $3,000 print sale next year.
