How many product categories should I have on my website, and when should I use them versus just listing everything on the homepage?

It depends on how many items you’re selling. If you have fewer than about 50–75 images, you can display them all directly on your homepage without categories. This reduces friction—visitors don’t need extra clicks to browse your work. If you have a larger catalog (100+ items), categorize them with clear, simple labels (e.g., ‘Nature,’ ‘Wildlife,’ ‘Florals,’ ‘Travel’). Keep the number of categories manageable—aim for no more than 10. Remember, you can always change your site structure later; it’s not permanent. Start simple and adjust as your catalog grows.
