How do I know if my art will actually sell?

Validation means one thing: will your art or photography sell to people who are not family or close friends? You must test this by actually attempting to sell your work. Get real people to part with their money for your art. No amount of likes, comments, awards, or compliments constitutes validation—only completed transactions do. You need to validate by going out and selling directly, either in person or through a flash sale to your existing social media following, before investing heavily in infrastructure or marketing.
