Should I wait until the timing is perfect to start marketing or building my art business?

Never wait—there is never a perfect time. Days turn into weeks, weeks into months, months into years, and nothing changes while you wait for the ‘right’ conditions (figuring out your niche, getting a business bank account, kids leaving home, etc.). The only thing you can’t get back is time, and it’s precious. You don’t have to climb Everest all at once; just take as many steps up the mountain each week as you can. If you’re not getting your art in front of eyeballs in some way, you’re lighting time on fire. Start now with whatever is easiest for you to get work seen, even if conditions aren’t ideal.
