Should I only post my art on social media, or should I share other aspects of my life?

You must share more than just your art - include family life, studio behind-the-scenes, your process, and personal moments. While your art is the core of what you do, people connect with people, not just products. Sharing your life creates relatability and helps build deeper audience connections. This includes things like road trips to shows with your family, ice cream breaks, kids in the studio, and other humanizing moments. Balance is key - you don’t want your feed to be only personal life, but it also cannot be just art, art, art. The personal content makes your audience invested in you as a person, which ultimately makes them more likely to support your art.
