How many people actually read the captions on my regular Instagram posts?

Very few. Regular posts (not reels) now reach only about 2% of your followers—sometimes 3-5% at most. So if you have 3,000 followers, maybe 60-150 people see the post, and even fewer read the caption carefully. This is why you shouldn’t spend hours agonizing over every word in your post captions. Adjust them to sound like you if something feels off, but don’t waste valuable time that could be spent creating video content, which reaches far more people. Reels get exponentially more views than regular posts. Focus your energy where it will have the biggest impact: on video content that tells your story and builds authentic connection.
